The history of Hawkesbury Toyota began in 1976 at the opening of Highland Motor Sales in Maxville Ontario, Mr. William Campbell property.
Four years later, Jacques-Yves Parisien joined the team as director of Service and Body Shop departments. Then in 1987, he was assigned the position of Sales Manager he occupied until 1989. In 1993, he joins Mrs. Sandra Sauvé to purchase the franchise. This association lasted until 2002 when he moved the franchise to Hawkesbury. Madame Sauvé then sold her shares to Mr. Wayne Assaly, but remains in the General Direction of the company, a position she still holds. Hawkesbury Toyota's vision is based on customer satisfaction and community involvement.
One of the most important contributions is perhaps the load of a van to the Hawkesbury Food Bank during the past decade. To this we can add a substantial donation to the Hawkesbury General Hospital, sponsorship money and lending a vehicle to junior ''A'', Hawkesbury Hawks.
Regionally, Hawkesbury Toyota donated $5,000 for the purchase of logistics equipment for volunteer firefighters in Vankleek Hill, and the load of a car to promote the career of a local artist and for the Plowing Contest. Hawkesbury Toyota is also committed to participate in multiple golf tournaments and organizations to raise money for many non-profit organizations in the region.
Hawkesbury Recognition honors Hawkesbury Toyota and its president, Jacques-Yves Parision, for their outstanding community involvement.
